Mexican Billionaire Carlos Slim is selling his New York City Mansion for $80 Million, after purchasing the only private townhouse in Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue for $44 Million in 2010.
Slim, a Mexican telecommunications magnate worth over $76 Billion, is one of the richest people in the world. Slim’s home, at 1009 Fifth Avenue, is the landmarked Benjamin N. Duke House, one of the (if not the) largest and most luxurious of the surviving Central Park-facing prewar mansion. The home has 20,000 sq. ft. and is located directly across from New York’s famed Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET).
